About the Contest
The Alpine County Department of Finance is preparing a financial report to be delivered in Spring, 2026.
It will be available to the public, as well as to the County staff and employees for whom it is intended.
The cover of this report will display an appropriate photograph, created by a photographer with strong ties
to Alpine County, such as an Alpine County resident or employee, that depicts some aspect of Alpine
County. It can be a natural scene, a gathering of people, an animal, plant, insect, flower found in Alpine
County, for example.
To enhance the report, a photograph selected from among the eligible submissions will be chosen by
representatives of Arts and Culture Alpine County .
The photograph chosen for this report cover will include the photographer’s credit (name) A brief bio and
artist’s description will be included inside the report..
This recognition is the only compensation offered the winning artist.
To be considered, all submissions must adhere to the Contest Rules.
CONTEST RULES
Artists must have strong ties to Alpine County. These ties include: A resident of Alpine County, an
employee of Alpine County, or other statement of strong connection to Alpine County.
There is a submission limit of two photographs per artist.
Photographs must be camera ready with high resolution suitable for reproduction.
Artists must insure their own work for damage and loss. Alpine County and/or Arts and Culture Alpine
County and its employees or volunteers will not be responsible for any submissions.
Each Photograph must have the following in the body of the email:
• Artist’s name, email, telephone number and mailing address
• Your ties to Alpine County: Employee? Resident? Other statement?
• Title of the photograph
• Date and place of the photograph
• Artist’s bio (100 word limit)
• Photograph description (100 word limit)
Submission deadline: Photos must be emailed, as attachment, to artsandculturealco@gmail.com
and received by noon on March 15, 2026. No late submissions will be accepted.
